AISA VIC Branch Meeting | 10 September 2024

AISA Branch Meeting
Hosted by the AISA Victorian Branch, please join the AISA community for our monthly branch event and networking opportunity with an insightful presentation and discussion on 'Executing a successful cyber uplifting program' with our guest speaker Daniel Johns.

Presentation Title:
Executing a Successful Cyber Uplift Program

In today’s digital jungle, cyber-attacks are lurking behind every virtual corner, sharpening their claws and ready to pounce on unsuspecting organisations. With threats evolving faster than your inbox fills up with spam, it’s more important than ever to armour up your business. But where do you even start? And what do you cover? Is there a magic spell for this? Spoiler alert: There isn't, but we've got the next best thing!

Join us for a lively and informative session on "How to Execute a Successful Cyber Uplift Program"—your ultimate guide to outsmarting the cyber predators. We’ll walk you through the essentials, from gap and risk assessments to finding and securing your organisation’s crown jewels (no, not those crown jewels). We’ll also cover developing an ISMS, aligning with the right frameworks, and the ever-fun topics of incident response and third-party risk management. And let’s not forget the importance of cyber awareness training—because clicking on dodgy links is so last decade.

Whether you're just starting out or fine-tuning your defences, this presentation will give you the tools and tactics you need to successfully navigate the wild world of cyber threats. So, gear up and let’s get your organisation ready to take on whatever the internet throws at it!
