Please note that due to the public holiday which has been announced on 22 September, to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II, this event has now been postponed to the new date of Thursday 6 October 2022. If you have already registered for this event, then your registration has been rolled over to the new date. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration.

Presentation 1 -  Zero Trust - Beyond the buzzword
Zero Trust as a concept has been around for over a decade. While navigating the challenges of expansion of attack surface through the adoption of cloud technology, BYOD, and work from anywhere, we've all had an epiphany. Network-centric, perimeter-based approaches to security are becoming increasingly less effective.

Zero Trust today has become a catchphrase that every market vendor is trying to capitalise on, with the promise that they've got it covered for you. This session aims to bust some of these myths, clarify what Zero Trust is not, and more importantly, what it is.

Given the different schools of thought around Zero Trust, one of the significant challenges for businesses is knowing where to start. This session covers three simple steps to determine if Zero Trust is for your business and provides a reference model of capabilities (not technology) across the foundational pillars of Zero Trust.

Presentation 2 -  Using Digital Forensic tools to investigate Cybercrime
A cyberattack is an intentional and malicious attempt by threat actors (an individual/hacker or cybercrime organization)  to steal, expose, alter, disable, destroy, or compromise information through unauthorized access to an information system..

A cybercrime investigation refers to the process of investigating, analyzing, and collecting  critical forensic digital evidence from different data sources such as:  internet, cloud, local network, ioT and mobile devices etc.

This presentation will demonstrate how to collect digital evidence, analyze, and report on evidence from each of these data sources, streamlining and speeding up your Cyber incident response (IR)  investigations.

This session covers how IR investigators can now leverage Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology using in the digital forensics solutions to help them recover embedded text in PDFs, scanned documents, and images.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and networking drinks with light refreshments will be served after the presentations.
