Become a SSCP – Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification
The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification, administered by (ISC)2, is a globally recognized standard of achievement that demonstrates an information technology professionals’ skills and hands-on experience securely designing, implementing and managing an organisation’s information assets.
The SSCP certification is ideal for IT administrators, managers, directors and network security professionals with approximately 12 months of hands-on work experience. It demonstrates the ability of the practitioner to manage an organisations day-to-day information technology infrastructure using cyber security best practices, policies and procedures. The SSCP is an excellent precursor to the (ISC)2 CISSP once you have attached the relevant experience requirements to attain the CISSP and is ISO 17024 accredited.
This SSCP course prepares learners for the SSCP exam by covering the material for each of the 7 domains, as well as providing specific exam tips to make the certification process as easy as possible. If you are an AISA associate/student member or you are relatively new to the field of cyber security, the SSCP is ideal for you.

The training will be delivered online twice per week (Monday and Wednesday) from 7:00pm until 9:30pm over 8 weeks on the following dates:

The sessions will be in AEST (Canberra/Sydney/Melbourne Time) 7:00pm - 9:30pm. *Please note Daylight Savings comes to effect on 4 October 2020, so ALL dates in October and November will be in AEDT, and people living in Brisbane, Adelaide, Darwin and Perth will be effected.
Recordings:
If you are unable to attend an online session, the sessions will be recorded, and the recordings are available to students up to 60 days after the course finishes.

If you do not meet the experience requirements to attain the SSCP certification, you can attain the Associate of (ISC)² designation. Associate membership converts to full membership upon completion of the experience requirements to attain SSCP certification.
Delivery:
The training sessions will be conducted by (ISC)² certified trainers and via the ISC2 online portal. Students will also receive training course resources. Please note that this course does not include the SSCP exam.
Cost:
The course is offered to AISA members. Please note that to get the maximum benefit for students, we have to limit attendance to 20 attendees.

Booking in your examination:
In addition to the training being offered by AISA, as part of the process to become certified, you will be required to pass a certification examination. This examination needs to be booked separately and is not included in the AISA training. (ISC)² directly administers the examination process and you can purchase the examination voucher for your intended certification by visiting the (ISC)² website at https://www.isc2.org/Register-for-Exam.

It is recommended that you purchase the examination voucher at the time of booking your training. This helps you establish a goal that you will sit the exam after the training course is complete and you have adequately revised following the training to be ready to attempt the exam.
