Synergies between law and tech when protecting clients - Why one cannot exist without the other
Speaker: Nicole Murdoch B. Eng (Elec), J.D (Hons), MIP
Nicole is an Electrical Engineer, registered trade marks attorney and a founding partner of Eaglegate Lawyers. Nicole has over 10 years' experience in legal and corporate governance and over 20 years' experience in the IT industry. She is also a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
Nicole’s previous experience in IT gives her broad experience in the information, communications and technology sectors. Nicole advises some of the world's largest software, mining, food production and technology companies to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights. She advises on data breaches, unauthorised disclosures, regulatory compliance and mandatory notification laws and breach responses. Her IT industry experience spans the encryption, telecommunications, military, printing, web development and digital communications sectors.
In addition, Nicole acts in complex litigation matters, conducts Anton Piller searches to protect and seize confidential information, performs intellectual property due diligences and negotiates licensing agreements to commercialise intellectual property.
