Lesson Learned from Running a Cyber Security Exercise

As security practitioners we are often faced with common problems and challenges we need to solve. For Robbie, it was the challenge of jointly delivering a desktop exercise which engaged Curtin’s highest levels of business and IT management teams to respond to a significant cyber security incident. Please join Robbie for an informative session of how we solved this challenge, the lessons learned and how you might undertake a similar exercise in your own organisation.

Speaker: Robbie Whittome, Senior Manager, Information Security Services, Curtin University

Robbie leads the security operations, internal security consulting and security risk and assurance teams across Curtin’s diverse and open environment. Focussed on achieving business outcomes, Robbie has tailored and matured Curtin’s cyber security services over his tenure to enable Curtin’s diverse stakeholders to achieve their business outcomes in a risk-informed, assured manner.
