AISA Brisbane Branch Virtual Meeting | 4 November 2021

The AISA Brisbane branch committee are hosting a virtual networking event with a lively panel discussion on what cyber security hiring managers look for in candidates. You also have the chance to win an UberEats voucher with which to enjoy while participating in the live meeting!

 

 

 

Panel Discussion:
Hiring managers - Find out what they look for in a candidate

The AISA Brisbane branch committee are hosting a virtual networking event with a lively panel discussion on what cyber security hiring managers look for in candidates.  The panel includes Ashley Deuble – Chief Information Security Officer of Heritage Bank, Phillip Jenkinson – CEO of Baidam Solutions, and Mike Holm – Senior Manager of AusCERT.

At the end of the presentation there will be an opportunity to network with other peers, when we breakout into chat rooms AND you also have the chance to win an UberEats voucher valued at $25 with which you can enjoy while at the lunch meeting!

We are giving away $25 UberEats vouchers to the first 80 AISA Brisbane financial members who register. These will be issued on a first come, first served basis and are courtesy of AISA.

Please note that the format of this event is a Zoom meeting which will allow all attendees to see each other (if video function activated), but all participants will be muted to allow only the presenters to speak. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentations, AND chat and network with other AISA members online. An email with the link to join the meeting will be issued at least 24 hours prior to the session. UberEats voucher will also be issued in the same manner.

Speakers:
Phillip Jenkinson is the CEO of Baidam Solutions, an Information Security and Technical solutions firm serving both State and Federal Government and Private enterprises in Australia. Based in Queensland, Baidam is proudly Indigenous owned, reinvesting our local and regional communities to help Bridge the Gap in the Information Technology Sector by providing meaningful pathways to success. Philip is an award-winning champion of diversity and inclusion within the cyber security sector.

Ashley Duble
is the Chief Information Security Officer at Heritage Bank. He is charismatic and well versed in presenting, having presented at many conferences as well as a being an organiser of CrikeyCon. Ash has a strong history of working in leadership roles in the Information and Cyber security industry, and has previously been the CISO at Flight Centre and the Cyber Security Manager of multiple organisations.

Mike Holm
is the Senior Manager at AusCERT; which is a leading Cyber Emergency Response Team for Australia and provides information security advice to its members, including the higher education sector. He enjoys information security and technology, and he also enjoys "fixing things" whether that's a broken piece of tech or an entire business unit at work that needs a strong leader to realize the potential of each team member. Most importantly, he enjoys public speaking to spread awareness of information security topics.
