Melbourne Branch Meeting: November 14

Melbourne Day Month: Meeting Name
When the business you’re in happens to involve jumping out of aircraft at night, demolishing things with high explosives or working in some of the world’s most volatile hot spots, then when things do go wrong the results are sometimes spectacular, occasionally hilarious and usually informative, with Adam O’Donnell, ex-team commander in the British and Australian Special Forces.

"What could possibly go wrong? Developing leaders and building teams – one colossal stuff-up at a time…"

No matter what business you’re in, it often seems on a really bad day that whatever can go wrong will go wrong.

When the business you’re in happens to involve jumping out of aircraft at night, demolishing things with high explosives or working in some of the world’s most volatile hot spots, then when things do go wrong the results are sometimes spectacular, occasionally hilarious and usually informative.

In this laughter-packed session, we’re going to delve into the horror stories of when good times went bad.  Unpacking and exploring stories of catastrophe and cock-up from both his military and corporate career, Adam O’Donnell will show how elite teams, and leaders, learn from failure and become stronger as a result.

A mix of case studies, stories and extreme audience participation, this session is guaranteed to be one to remember.

Participants will walk away with practical tools they can use immediately to build trust and learning in their team, not to mention a strong sense of schadenfreude…
