John Karabin, is Director of Cybersecurity for Dimension Data Australia. In this role, he is responsible for defining our Security go-to-market, and enhancing its reputation as a trusted partner.

Prior to joining Dimension Data in February 2018, John developed broad experience in risk based information security, cyber security, identity management and telecommunications.
John recognises the cybersecurity landscape changes daily – from the threats themselves to the solutions being conjured up to combat them. Therefore it is crucial that cybersecurity is seen as more than a matter of technology – it is a matter of business risk. Government, enterprise and small business alike need to understand their core assets, where they are, who is accessing them, how they’re accessed to ensure ongoing compliance and business resilience in an evolving threat landscape. He has seen how security events and their associated impact often ricochet, with long term damaging effects on an organisation’s reputation, business value and individuals.
