Adelaide Branch Meeting: March 29
"Spectre and Meltdown: Speculative Execution Considered Harmful", with Dr Yuval Yarom – University of Adelaide’s School of Computer Science & Data 61.
Spectre and Meltdown: Speculative Execution Considered Harmful
Speaker: Dr Yuval Yarom – University of Adelaide’s School of Computer Science & Data 61
Join us for a presentation from Dr Yuval Yarom, who is part of the international team that discovered the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerabilities. The disclosure of the Meltdown and Spectre computer vulnerabilities on January 2, 2018 was in many ways unprecedented. It shocked – and scared – even the experts. The vulnerabilities bypass traditional security measures in the computer and affect billions of devices, from mobile phones to massive cloud servers.
