Stay Smart Online Week 2019

Each year, Stay Smart Online hosts a national awareness week to empower people, businesses and the community to protect themselves online. Our ‘Reverse the Threat’ campaign is designed to mobilise a movement against cybercrime with our partners and the wider community.

This is the Stay Smart Online Week 2019 resource kit. This year Stay Smart Online Week runs from 7–13 October. We encourage you to share these resources with your staff, customers and stakeholders to help reverse the threat of cybercrime.

Each year, Stay Smart Online hosts a national awareness week to empower people, businesses and the community to protect themselves online. Our ‘Reverse the Threat’ campaign is designed to mobilise a movement against cybercrime with our partners and the wider community.

Every contribution adds to the impact of the campaign. By doing it together we show we are united behind our cause. ‘Reverse the Threat’ is designed to capture attention and be the catalyst to get people to take online security seriously.

This year, we want to empower Australians to take control of their online identity by:

  • reviewing privacy settings
  • knowing how to spot phishing scams
  • creating strong and unique passwords
  • turning on two-factor authentication.

There are lots of ways to get involved in Stay Smart Online Week. From adding black and white banners to your social media channels, to a full reversal of your website or decking out your workplace with posters and flyers.

Our partner guide contains all the information you need to implement the campaign internally and externally with minimum fuss and maximum impact. If you haven’t received a copy of the guide or you'd like more information about Stay Smart Online Week and how you can get involved, contact us.
