Extraordinary General Meeting 2017

Notice

A petition has been received by the Board, the petition was put forward in accordance with the Corporations Act, Section 249D "Calling of general meeting by directors when requested by members".

This petition requests to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for all active members of the Australian information Security Association (AISA).  Although we note that the petition failed to meet the requisite number of signatures, the Board agrees that the uncertainty and concern from Members warrants an EGM at this time.  The Directors also note that it is crucial for uncertainty to be removed for all, and stability to be restored as swiftly as possible, to ensure that there is no impact on key upcoming events in 2017.   Notice is given that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of the Australian Information Security Association (the Company) will be held on Friday 24th of March from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM AEDT at various locations around Australia.

Business

Members will be asked to consider and to vote on the resolutions put forward in the below document marked "EGM_March_2017_Final.pdf"
No further business will be included at this meeting.

Q&A Information Pack

Branch Committees are central to the ongoing success of AISA, and we note their stability and continuity during a period of significant change. We, the Board, thank the volunteers for their efforts in recent months. We have a large number of passionate members that feel strongly about the matters at hand and one of our long-term goals is to create more engagement and opportunities for questions to be answered. As a starting point, we have created a Q&A Information Pack for members (Sign in required) that should answer initial questions about the recent changes and events at AISA between now and the planned EGM.
