Session Title: Project Glasswing: What Frontier AI Model Taught Cloudflare About Autonomous Vulnerability Discovery
As frontier-class AI models are evolving, the landscape of software security is shifting. Drawing directly on the empirical results of Cloudflare’s "Project Glasswing" research, this session analyses the technical realities of deploying models like Mythos and Open AIs GPT 5.5 against production codebases.
We will explore the defining capability of modern frontier models: moving past isolated bug detection to achieve autonomous exploit chain construction, the ability to reason, and stitch multiple low-severity code flaws into a singular, high-severity proof of concept. Additionally, the session tackles the operational roadblocks that developers and defenders must navigate, including unpredictable model refusals during legitimate research, the crippling signal-to-noise burden of speculative flags, and why a standalone agent fails without a highly structured vulnerability discovery harness.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and networking drinks with light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
