Topic: Application of SABSA in Australia
The topic for the session is the Application of SABSA in Australia and it is an honour to have 2 (TWO!) SABSA Masters for this session. This session will be a moderated discussion on the current usage of SABSA in Australia and some predictions of how the framework is set to evolve. The session is also just in time for the #COSAC2023 APAC session being held in Melbourne 28th Feb – 2nd March 

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. This session will be recorded and the recording will be made available to all registrants.


Peter Nikitser is the Director, Cyber Security Services at ALC Group where he is responsible for the development and implementation of ALC Group’s cyber security training program throughout the Asia-Pacific region and for managing ALC’s broader range of cyber security services. Peter is exceptionally well qualified for this role and brings to bear a career spanning 30 years in IT with the last 15 years focussing on information security. 

Robert Laurie is currently engaged with the University of New England as the Deputy Chief Information Officer (CISO) and is leading a number of high-profile cyber security projects. Robert is an experienced Enterprise Security Architect with an information security career spanning 10 years in Australian Government before moving to an Enterprise Security Architecture consultancy role. Rob’s recent Enterprise Security Architecture experience has involved successful delivery of engagements for high-profile clients in Australia, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the United States. 


Bruce Large has 15 years experience working with IT and OT in network, telecommunications and system engineering roles. Bruce has worked in Electricity Generation & Transmission, Railway, Aviation, Emergency Services and Consulting industries. Bruce considers himself a security architecture enthusiast as well as an infrastructure tourist.
