AISA Webinar | Talent Series May & June 2024 | 29 May (Webinar One)

Hosted by the AISA Cloud Branch, please join us for our 'Talent Series' webinars planned throughout May and June. Kick starting the "Talent Series" is Gareth Flynn, Chief Executive Officer at TQSolutions. Gareth will talk about the future of work.

Webinar One Title:
In the future of work, people will be expected to 'own their careers' - what does this mean for leaders and workers?

Workers' attitudes towards work and careers are rapidly changing, and their expectation of career and skill development is increasing. Leaders are being expected to coach and develop people more effectively as organisations adopt more 'build' talent strategies due to external skills shortages. Behaviours and conversations are needed to change and old ways of working and traditional approaches to learning are becoming outdated.  Workers can no longer expect to be 'spoon-fed' development and need to do more to 'own their careers' with the advice and guidance of leaders, mentors and increasingly AI based career tools.

This session unpacks this new 'future of work' and explains some of the changing behaviour requirements for both leaders and individuals. It also shines the light on how we can move to a world of more meaningful career conversations.
