SESSION 1: Cyber security governance, risk and compliance and The art of war
In this presentation, Luke will provide a high-level overview of the benefits of cyber security governance, risk and compliance, and why organisations knowing themselves, and their adversaries can make a huge difference in protecting their information and infrastructure from cyber attacks.

Speaker: Luke Zillman

Luke is a highly regarded cyber security professional working across the public and private sectors for 15+ years. Luke has held leadership roles in cyber security operations, incident response, computer forensics/investigations, governance risk, and compliance, internal audit, and security architecture. Luke is currently the Manager, Information Security (Governance, Risk and Compliance) for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Luke holds a bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a dual major in Data Communications and Information Systems, Graduate Certificate in Information Technology (Information Security) and is CISSP, CISA, CISM, and ISO 27001 LA Certified.

SESSION 2:
Introducing the Brisbane security architecture Special Interest Group 

In this session, Bruce will be introducing the Brisbane Security Architecture Special Interest Group. Security architecture considers the design and application of security controls to manage cyber security risk and it's a lot more than just boxes on a page.

This presentation will outline the proposed approach and topics for the special interest group and will be a call to action for participants at all skill levels - from beginners trying to learn the fundamentals of security architecture to experienced architects looking to guide and develop the next generation of architects.

Speaker: Bruce Large
Bruce is the Operational Technology (OT) Security Lead at CyberCX and he has 14 years experience working with IT and OT in network and system engineering roles. Bruce has worked in Electricity Generation, Railway, Aviation, Emergency Services and Consulting industries. Prior to joining CyberCX Bruce was the OT Cyber Security Lead at Stanwell Corporation, Queensland's largest Government Owned Electricity Generator. Bruce is a Foundation Chartered SABSA Architect (SCF), holds the GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID) certificate and has attended Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cyber Security training at QUT. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Telecommunications) First Class Honours and a Master of Business (Applied Finance) with Distinction from QUT.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and a light lunch and refreshments will be served before the presentation.
