ACSC Log4J vulnerability virtual awareness presentations - 17 December
On Friday 10 December 2021, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) issued an alert on a vulnerability in the Apache Log4j software library that exposed systems to potential cyberattack. Please visit cyber.gov.au to view the alert and subsequent advisory. The alerts and advisory information urges Australians to secure their computer systems against this serious software vulnerability being exploited by malicious actors around the world, including against organisations in Australia.
In a press release on 15 December 2021 Assistant Minister for Defence, the Hon Andrew Hastie MP, noted that malicious online actors are scanning networks in attempts to locate vulnerable servers, so it’s critical that Australian organisations act, and act fast. The ACSC is providing advice to organisations using the Log4j software library to ensure they patch vulnerable systems.
The ACSC’s Joint Cyber Security Centres (JCSCs) will facilitate virtual awareness and advice sessions on the Log4J vulnerability on Friday 17 December 2021. Please see details below. You are welcome to attend any presentation.
We look forward to seeing you at any of the virtual presentations at the time that best suits you. Please click on the appropriate link at the scheduled time to join the presentation.
