Announcement to members from the AISA Board of
Directors
3 July 2015.
AISA's Board of Directors is very pleased to announce the
appointment of Arno Brok to the new role of chief executive officer
(CEO), effective 1 July 2015.
After an exhaustive selection process, both internally and
externally, the AISA Board of Directors determined that Arno was
the best candidate to manage AISA's strategy, represent AISA, and
further grow the organisation.
Arno has been an executive with AISA since 2008 and in the
role as National Director since December 2013. Arno's
experience within AISA is supported by considerable commercial
experience, most recently as Director of Information Security,
Audit and Advisory firm Protiviti, and in similar positions at BAE
Systems, Deloitte and Accenture.
Arno is the first CEO to be appointed by the AISA Board of
Directors. Having proven himself as a leader within AISA,
Arno shares the Board's vision to continue delivering value to
members, the community, and the industry.
We look forward to this next important chapter in AISA's
development as the leading voice of information security in
Australia, and our potential to contribute to the protection of
fellow Australians.

Dear members,
Today the board announced my appointment as CEO, and I
wanted you to know I am honoured to be charged with managing this
growing organisation, and AISA's future.
Australia has great potential to play a bigger role in cyber
security defences. As industry specialists, you know we have
some work ahead of us, but there has never been a better time to be
a part of AISA.
Given I now have the opportunity to move into a full time
role as CEO at AISA, I am excited to have my full focus and
motivation dedicated to the goals of our organisation and
members.
By achieving charitable status, we get to keep and
potentially access more funds to enable our public goal, and
continue to develop and draw on the expertise, skills, and passion
of our members.
Along with our base of enthusiastic volunteers and dedicated
staff members, AISA can only go from strength to
strength. In my role as CEO I will keep you informed of our direction,
our progress, and achievements, and I value your
viewpoint.
I hope to see you at one of the branch meetings soon or
at the National Conference; it will be our best
yet!
