Branch Chair

Richard Magalad

Richard is a 30-year ICT veteran starting in mainframes with the Commonwealth Bank then onto most markets from SME to large clients in shipping, mining and other heavy industries. He became IT director in 2010 in a mining company with uranium, gold and diamond projects in Australia, Laos and Canada. He founded his IT support and consultancy company in 1999 and today work with two large Telcos and several Federal Government agencies, whilst still active in the SME space. He is a hands-on tech with a philosophy to never separate Cyber Security from Information Technology, just as he was trained in highly secure arena in banking and government. He was a board member at the Australian Computer Society until 2020. Richard studied Accounting and IT at Swinburne University and recently Cyber Security at Box Hill Institute.

Kelli Dienhoff

Kelli is a corporate relations and talent acquisition strategist with an extensive international career spanning over 18 years and a passion for people and culture. She has developed employer brand strategies to attract talent for global brands such as Fujitsu, EY, du Telecommunication (EITC), City University London, NAB and various Australian Government portfolios.
Her early tech career as a channel manager in speech recognition software was the catalyst to move into technology talent that led her to build trusted stakeholder partnerships between businesses and technology teams, focusing on skills gaps, succession planning and bespoke executive education programs.
Kelli holds an MBA and is a certified ILM career coach & mentor and showcases an interest in the ethical protocols surrounding cyber security and the changing face of cyber education in Australia. Kelli's specialties are learning and development, talent acquisition, succession planning, executive education, project scheduling, mentoring, social media, employer branding and customer and candidate experience.


Committee Members

Matthew Warren

Professor Warren is the Director of the RMIT University Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation, a Professor of Cyber Security and co-director of the Australian – Lithuanian Cyber Research Network (ALCRN). He is a prolific and passionate researcher in the areas of Cyber Security and have authored and co-authored over 300 books, book chapters, journal papers and conference papers. As well as academic research he is experienced in working with government in advisory capacities and being an external cyber security consultant for numerous international and Australian organisations.
Professor Warren has taught in Australia, Finland, Hong Kong, Lithuania and the United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Information Security Association.

Paul Bywood

Paul is a seasoned ICT professional with 20 years of experience in cyber security consulting and advisory services. He has served a diverse range of clients across the private sector, Australian Federal agencies, local governments, and defence. He started his career as a Java developer and progressed to various technical and non-technical roles with a strong focus on cyber security. He has held positions such as ICT Auditor, SEC-OPS team leader, GRC Capability Lead, Security Assessor, and Security Advisor. He has developed expertise in key security domains such as audit and assurance, incident response, vulnerability management and secure software development. He has also worked with a variety of technologies and operating environments, adapting to both traditional and modern work practices.

Bharat Bajaj

Bharat is an experienced GRC specialist with a career spanning two decades, with experience in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data, Privacy, and Technology domains.  He worked with 3 of big 4 largest Australian financial institutions, and currently supporting the CBA AI and MLOps team with Technology Risk management and implementation of AI Technologies.

He is a board director at the ISACA Melbourne chapter, whilst taking pride in delivering training on ISACA certifications, and in 2024 was awarded for his contribution to the chapter at the North America ISACA conference.

Pragmatic in approach to Governance, Risk, and Compliance, Bharat is a confident and thorough leader in building trust and managing relationships.  His dedication to providing outcome-based value to manage risk effectively, previously held positions in the Data, Security Privacy, Compliance Risks including BCM, Crisis Management, Incident Management & strategy,

Bharat has a Bachelor's in Information Technology Management and my post-nominals include CRISC, CISM, CDPSE, ITIL & Six Sigma.
