AISA Branch Meeting
Hosted by the AISA NSW Branch, this meeting offers members the chance to connect with fellow professionals and build valuable new professional relationships. The evening will open with a panel discussion where the panellists will explore the key legal and regulatory shifts of the past year, examine current issues surrounding AI, cyber security and technology, and equip you with essential insights to bring back to your organisation.


 

 

Panel Session Title: Ask a Cyber Legal Expert Returns! Latest Developments in Cyber, Privacy and Digital Law

Join us for a panel session with some of Australia’s leading cyber, privacy and technology legal minds. In its third year running, this panel is a crowd favourite and one not to miss! The panel will unpack the past 12 months of legal and regulatory developments, address contemporary concerns around AI, cyber security and technology, and help you with key messages to take back to your businesses.

This insightful session will cover all the key topics on the front of your mind and forecast what the next 12 months will bring. We welcome your input. Feel free to come equipped with your own questions as the session will be interactive!

Moderator:
Reece Corbett-Wilkins is the Head of First Response at Atmos.
For over 10 years, Reece has focused exclusively on cyber and privacy risk, having helped 1,000+ organisations through some of their most challenging times. Reece is particularly experienced in managing large scale multi-party data breaches, both locally and globally, and ransomware response. Reece works closely with the incident response industry, government, and law enforcement to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. 

Panellist:
Valeska Bloch is a leading cybersecurity, data, AI and technology practitioner whose practice covers the full spectrum of governance, compliance, crisis management, regulatory, transactional and risk management work.  She has particular expertise in highly-regulated critical infrastructure and data-intensive sectors. Valeska has extensive experience in cyber incident response and regularly advises boards and senior management on cyber risk management.

Panellist:
Rachael Falk is a Partner in Ashurst’s Risk Advisory practice and a leading authority on cyber security and regulation in Australia. She advises Boards and executive teams on high-profile incidents, governance reviews and resilience, bringing deep operational, legal and regulatory expertise.

Panellist:
Chelsea Gordon is the Legal Lead in MinterEllison's AI Advisory team and excels in AI regulation, governance, privacy and Responsible AI, with a particular focus on heavily regulated industries. Chelsea enables clients to maximise AI opportunities while mitigating legal risks.

Panellist:
Cameron Whittfield is a market leading technology lawyer specialising in cyber security, information security and emerging technologies.
He works extensively for clients throughout the region advising on cyber security, information security, data protection, emerging technologies, digital platforms, technology and telecommunications reform and other technology-related transactions and legal issues. 

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panellists and networking drinks with light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
