AISA WA Branch Meeting | 14 July 2026

Hosted by the AISA WA Branch, this meeting offers members the chance to connect with fellow professionals, build valuable new professional relationships, and broaden your expertise in an engaging environment. The evening will open with a presentation and discussion on My Two Cents On AI Enablement For Organisations with guest speaker Sujatha M who is the Manager of Cyber Security at Department of Communities.

Session Title:
My Two Cents On AI Enablement For Organisations

Sujatha will share a practical, security-first perspective on how organisations can confidently embrace AI while managing risk. The session explores how to build strong foundations for AI adoption starting with data readiness, governance, and responsible use before diving into the critical role of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and information protection. It highlights how organisations can identify sensitive data, apply appropriate controls, and ensure AI systems are used safely without compromising privacy, compliance, or trust.

Attendees will gain clear, actionable insights into implementing effective security controls across identity, access, data, and infrastructure to support AI initiatives. Key takeaways include understanding common risks in AI enablement, practical DLP strategies, and how to align security controls with business objectives. The outcome is a balanced approach that empowers organisations to innovate with AI while strengthening resilience, protecting critical data, and maintaining stakeholder confidence.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speaker and networking drinks with light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
